ZENICA, August 1 (FENA) - Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina Alexander Chuplygin, after the meeting with the Speaker of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Assembly, Jasmin Duvnjak, at the beginning of today's session presented the assembly with the license to use the information system "eParliament".
The system was put on a test run at the beginning of the session and the presence of 26 out of 35 representatives was established.
“I am very glad to attend the putting into operation of the ‘eParliament’ information system in the Assembly of the ZDC. The OSCE Mission is successfully cooperating with the Assembly and the ZDC Collegium,” said Chuplygin.
He said that over the past three years they have been actively involved in the introduction of this system.
“The Zenica-Doboj Canton is the first canton in FBiH to introduce the ‘eParliament’ system and to digitize its work,” Chuplygin said, adding that other cantonal assemblies expressed readiness to implement this system.
The ZDC Assembly Speaker Jasmin Duvnjak expressed hope that the representatives of this one and especially the next convocation of the parliament would use all the benefits of this system, being primarily functionality, transparency and accountability.
At the last session, the MPs voted to implement this system, which as of today will be applied in their work. Implementation of this project was supported by the OSCE Mission to BiH.
