SARAJEVO, August 6 (FENA) - The British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Armed Forces of BiH and the administrations of the cities of Mostar and Sarajevo, is tomorrow organizing an outdoor event for the citizens with participants of the humanitarian ride "Rally for Heroes" in honor of the fallen British soldiers.
Ambassador Edward Ferguson will open both events, and good atmosphere will be in the hands of the Orchestra of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
'Rally for Heroes' is a ride for humanitarian purposes, and all funds collected will be awarded to SSAFA - one of the oldest humanitarian organizations that provides support to British soldiers and their families.
It takes place every two years, and this is its fifth edition. It gathers members of the British Armed Forces, veterans, and civilians, people who combine love for cars and the desire to support the Armed Forces.
Some of this year's participants, as well as the organizers of this event, stayed in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the conflicts in the 1990s.
Therefore, before departure from Sarajevo, they will lay wreaths and pay tribute to the British soldiers who lost their lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina during that period – 59 of them, announced the Embassy of the United Kingdom in BiH.
