SARAJEVO, August 14 (FENA) - After the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina prepared the Action Plan for implementing recommendations of the Directorate of Health and Food, Analysis and Auditing of the European Commission, conducted from 28 May to 1 June this year, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH has been officially informed that the Action Plan on the export of poultry meat to the European Union has been adopted.
Upon approval of the Action Plan, the European Commission will complete the procedures for amending the Regulation (EC) No. 798/2008, in order for Bosnia and Herzegovina to be included in the list of countries from which poultry meat is permitted in the EU and the Decision 2007/777, so that our country is included in the list of countries from which poultry meat products are permitted to be imported into the EU.
“The most important part of the job has been successfully completed. I expect these remaining administrative procedures to be finalized as soon as possible, and that this extremely powerful branch that provides 20,000 jobs will soon be experiencing expansion, said Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Šarović.
The Veterinary Office will submit to the European Commission a list of facilities approved for the export of poultry and poultry meat products to the EU to enable these facilities to start with the exports to the European Union, stated the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
