TUZLA, August 15 (FENA) - Association of Roma women "Better Future" from Tuzla is one of the partners in charge of implementation of a regional project " Implementing Norms, Changing Minds", funded by the European Union and implemented by the UN Women.
Project started on June 1 this year, and its aim is a better approach and improving services for women who come from minority and endangered groups.
"When it comes to our beneficiaries, we had series of activities even before this project, and we even did a lot of research and case studies to see how much knowledge women, especially Roma women, have about domestic violence and how many of them reports violence," said president of Association of Roma Women "Better Future" Tuzla Indira Bajramović.
United Nations is ready to support efforts in providing maximum information on rights and services that are available to women from the aforementioned groups.
"United Nations and UN WOMEN are working with your governments in the process of adoption of norms and standards. We are also working with the state and entity governments in adopting a norm of standards, whereas the state and entity governments are working with the civil society organizations," said the UN WOMEN representative David Saunders.
