BANJA LUKA, August 19 (FENA) – The RS Government rejects as unconstitutional and illegal all the attempts by the Ministry of Security of BiH and all the other institutions to deploy members of other police agencies in BiH on the territory of Republika Srpska.
The RS Government, at a special session, considered the Proposal of a Conclusion ordering the Ministry of the Interior of RS not to allow the deployment of members of other police agencies on the territory of the RS.
“The RS Government points out that the RS Ministry of Interior is the only authority responsible for law enforcement security on the territory of Republika Srpska, and has asked the Ministry of Security and other BiH institutions to suspend all unconstitutional and illegal activities endangering the constitutional position, territorial integrity, and the competencies of the RS institutions,” it is stated in the conclusion of the RS Government.
In a statement issued after the session, the RS Government has urged the RS Ministry of Interior, in accordance with the Constitution and laws, “to prevent any presence and operation of members of other police agencies in BiH in the territory of RS without the consent of the RS government, by all available means.”
“The RS Government expresses its readiness to continue cooperation with all the competent institutions in BiH ,in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of RS and the Agreement on Assistance and Operational Co-operation and Border Control with the BiH Border Police with the purpose of controlling and resolving the migrant crisis in BiH,” it is said in the press statement of the RS Government.
