Čović: There are too many of those who would live off our divisions

FENA Press release

MOSTAR, August 19 (FENA) - Marking of the 73rd anniversary of the great suffering of the Croat people and commemoration for all victims of the World War II, the post-war period and the Homeland War, on the occasion of the European Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Totalitarianism, Communism, Nazism and Fascism, was held today in the "Cemetery of Peace", the memorial area in Bile, in the plateau between Mostar and Široki Brijeg.

The BiH Presidency member Dragan Čović pointed out that that Bile is the place that most truthfully paints the picture of the fate of the Croat people, and called for unity on this occasion.

"There are too many of those who would still want to live off our differences and divisions. We are so small that only good organization and commitment to each other can save us in the future. We must build a positive atmosphere for this God-given place,” emphasized Čović.

Apart from Čović, marking of the anniversary was attended by representatives of the church, senior officials, delegation of the Republic of Croatia and representatives of the social, political and economic life of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the Presidency of BiH.
