BANJA LUKA, August 20 (FENA) - Bosniak Caucus in the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska (RS) launched a procedure of protection of vital national interest at a session in Banja Luka today regarding the assembly conclusions on Information on Report of the Commission on events in and around Srebrenica on 10-19 July 1995.

Conclusions, that were adopted on August 14 at a session of the National Assembly, reject the report.

One of the conclusions also requests the RS Government to withdraw the report and annuls it, which it did two days ago, even though all caucuses in the RS Council of Peoples still have not stated their stance on the assembly conclusions nor have the conclusions entered into effect.

After the Bosniak Caucus vetoed the assembly conclusions, Council of Peoples will discuss it, then a joint session of the National Assembly and the RS Council of Peoples will be held and if there is no agreement the Constitutional Court of RS will have a final say.

The assembly conclusions that were adopted state that an independent international commission should be formed to determine killings of all peoples in area of Srebrenica region in an objective way.

Bosniak officials find these conclusions are absolutely unacceptable, because the truth about genocide in Srebrenica has been verified by local and international judicial bodies.
