SARAJEVO, August 30 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirko Šarović said today in Sarajevo that Bosnia and Herzegovina can achieve export-import coverage of 70 percent, compared to the current 61 percent.
Prior to the opening of the panel "Export Challenges", Šarović told reporters that there are those who believe that we can and should return to the closed economy, but BiH has accepted international agreements committing itself to free trade.
“We have to assist our companies and make them capable of surviving and being competitive. A great number of them have realized this and today they are exporting their products to the most developed countries of the EU,” said Šarović.
The panel was organized as a kind of announcement of the 31st awards to the best companies in BiH "The 100 biggest in BiH" that will be held on September 26, organized by the business newspapers and the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, with the support of the LRC.
