SARAJEVO, September 5 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marina Pendeš and her associates received today the newly appointed Deputy Head of Mission at the US Embassy Ellen Germain, with whom she discussed the activities of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) and the Armed Forces of BiH, as well as the longstanding cooperation with the United States.
In addition to Deputy Head Germain, the meeting was attended by US Military Envoy, Brigadier Michael Tarquinto and Political Adviser at the US Embassy in BiH Carrie Giardino, stated the BiH Ministry of Defense.
Germain thanked Minister Pendeš for the provided updates and information and professional contribution of members of the MoD and AF of BiH in peacekeeping missions.
She also expressed support to the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH on the path to EU and NATO integration.
Pendeš thanked for the support provided by the United States to BiH, which has been confirmed by a series of visits by the US administration representatives to our country, particularly emphasizing the support of the US Defense Minister Mattis to Bosnia and Herzegovina at the meeting of the US-Adriatic Charter in Croatia.
