SARAJEVO, September 9 (FENA) – Austrian Embassy in BiH and Paneuropean Union of BiH are organizing a conference “Europe, BiH and Austrian chairmanship of the EU” on September 12 at the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH on the occasion of Austrian chairmanship of the EU Council.
Conference will gather policy creators, analysts, experts and civil society to discuss the main aspects of the EU integration process of BiH and other topics such as reforms, rule of law, bilateral issues, reconciliation and vision for the future.
Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to BiH Martin Pammer emphasized that the EU enlargement process in context of countries of Southeastern Europe in 2018 once again drew attention thanks to the EU Western Balkans Strategy, summits in Sofia and London and recent informal meeting of foreign ministers of the EU countries in Vienna.
Acting President of the Paneruropean Union of BiH Haris Ćutahija said this project is another effort of the Paneuropean Union to attempt to encourage the process of the European integration in BiH.
“Austria is an important partner of BiH since its independence and we hope the same relations will continue during Austrian chairmanship of the EU,” emphasized Ćutahija, Paneuropean Union of BiH stated.
