SARAJEVO, September 9 (FENA) – Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić warns that annual costs for offices in Mostar and Sarajevo for needs of the Federation of BiH amount to over 3 million KM. That has been the case for over 20 years.
Since his first day of chairing the government, he said he tried to find a solution for this problem, for this anomaly, “because the government had a temporary address for so many years and it paid rent to a political party and private companies”.
“It has been clear to me for a long time that there are 3 million reasons what we came across obstructions and strange resistance to my attempts to secure permanent premises for the government. We were offered various facilities in private and state ownership and we always came across problems that could not be solved and lost precious time,” Novalić told FENA.
Only one offer was delivered to a public call that was announced by the Government this year and it was an offer by Energoinvest.
“FBiH Government considered this issue at three sessions and each time it unanimously decided to solve the issue by purchasing Energoinvest building. So this decision was not made by a prime minister, but by the government. Unanimously, based on proposal of the joint services,” emphasized Novalić.
After it was determined there are no obstacles to purchase the building, the Government confirmed its decision to buy it.
“Question is why someone would have a problem with us no longer paying certain political parties and for the government to finally have permanent premises,” concluded Novalić.
