SARAJEVO, September 11 (FENA) - In the period from January to July this year, 811,660 tourists visited Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is 12.2 percent more compared to the same period last year.
There were 1,690,663 registered overnight stays, which is 14.3 percent more than in the same period of 2017.
The number of overnight stays of domestic tourists was up by 16.6 percent, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists was 13.4 percent higher than in the same period of 2017.
In the total number of overnight stays, the share of domestic tourists was 29.7 percent, while the share of foreign tourists was 70.3%.
The majority of overnight stays of foreign tourists was by tourists from: Croatia (12.9%), Serbia (9.0%), Turkey (7.4%) Slovenia (5.4%), United Arab Emirates 4.8%, Poland (4.7%), Germany (4.6%) and Italy (4.4%), which is a total of 53.2 percent.
Tourists from other countries comprise a share of 46.8 percent of overnight stays, according to the data of the Statistics Agency of BiH.
