Chairman Izetbegović receives FEMYSO delegation in Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, September 14 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović received today a delegation from the Federation of European Youth and Student Organizations (FEMYSO), an international non-governmental organization based in Brussels.

The guests informed Izetbegović that FEMYSO gathers 35 respectable non-governmental and student organizations operating in Europe, led by young, educated Muslims.

They also presented FEMYSO's cooperation with the European Commission, the European Parliament, the UN and UNESCO.

They said that FEMYSO represents the official voice of Muslim youth in the fields of human rights protection, inter-religious dialogue, the fight against Islamophobia and the integration of Muslims into European societies.

FEMYSO will hold its annual assembly in Sarajevo from September 14 to 17, which will be attended by 65 representatives from all over Europe.

During the visit to BiH, the members of the Assembly will visit the Potočari Memorial Center and pay tribute to the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica.

It is also planned to visit the Kovači Cemetery and the Alija Izetbegović Museum, stated the BiH Presidency.
