ČITLUK, September 16 (FENA) - Organized by the Čitluk Municipality, under the auspices of the Office of the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović, members of the diplomatic corps in Bosnia and Herzegovina visited the Herceg ethno village in Medjugorje.
The event was organized with the aim to better acquaint representatives of foreign countries with all the riches that the Herzegovina region has to offer.
Čović thanked the diplomats for their arrival, saying events such as Grape Picking Days meant a lot, not only for the Herzegovina region but for the whole country as well.
“Tourism is one of those segments that should give a new dimension to the development of our regions and a better life in this region.
The Brotnjo area has a large number of wine roads, and this is something that we need to present to the people, tourists, who come here for the first time to get to know this region.
Our task is to open our hearts and doors to these people, for them to stay here longer and to get to know our customs and culture,” said Čović.
He also said that this is one of the ways to showcase our wealth and our customs that we will bring into the European Union.
After grape harvest in the vineyard of Herceg ethno village Medjugorje, the guests headed to Brotnjo Hotel where they enjoyed the traditional delicacies of this region and tasted excellent local wines,” stated the BiH Presidency.
