SARAJEVO, September 21 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirko Šarović received today in a joint visit Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to BiH, José María Valdemor Giménez, Italian Ambassador Nicola Minasi and Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to BiH Martin Kačo.
Ambassadors welcomed the adoption of the Framework Energy Strategy in BiH, and stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened a new door to the BiH energy sector to access European funds, and a greater momentum in the development and strengthening of investment activities.
With the adoption of strategic documents in the field of agriculture, rural development and environmental protection during the term of Minister Šarović, an important strategic package for the development of the country has been rounded up, noted the ambassadors of the three countries.
The Ambassadors discussed with Minister Šarović the issues of renewable energy and energy efficiency, which will be on the agenda of the OSCE Mediterranean Conference in Spain in October 2018, and stressed that by adopting the energy strategy, the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s participation at this conference will be even greater.
Minister Šarović announced that the issue of Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the World Trade Organization WTO will be at the forefront again in October this year, expecting that an atmosphere would be created for adoption of the decision on the quality of liquid petroleum fuels, thereby meeting the remaining conditions for Bosnia and Herzegovina's membership in the WTO.
