GORAŽDE, September 24 (FENA) - A delegation from the Embassy of Palestine in Bosnia and Herzegovina visited Goražde today in a first from the series of visits to cities in our country, seeking to see the positive practices of successful local communities in order to transfer these experiences in the war-torn Palestine.
At the meeting with the Mayor of Goražde and his associates, Deputy Ambassador of Palestine in BiH, Mohammed Hammad, pointed out that Goražde was the first city that the delegation wished to visit. It is made up of representatives of several cities in Palestine.
They say that they heard a lot about Goražde, and now they came to see for themselves and find out how this town has risen from the ashes after the war, in order to transfer these experiences to their own country.
“Since Palestine has been demolished during these last years of aggression, we are traveling all over the world to see and try to learn how people managed to get back on their feet. We are here in Goražde to see how the town has managed to progress after the war in various economic and social affairs and we hope that we will succeed in transferring these experiences and implement them in the state of Palestine.
We are fighting two simultaneous battles at the moment - one for the part of the country that we have not been able to reclaim, and the other for reconstructing what has been destroyed,” explained Hammad.
After Goražde, the delegation of Palestine will visit Srebrenik, Tešanj, Zenica, Konjic and the municipality Novi Grad Sarajevo.
