Nine parties from FBiH, six from RS pass election threshold for BiH parliament

SARAJEVO, October 9 (FENA) - The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina today announced the latest results of the BiH General Elections held last Sunday, according to which 88.07 percent of polling stations were processed for the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, with 8.88 percent of invalid ballots.

When it comes to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the CEXC processed 2,804 polling stations or 85,59 percent, with 43,917 invalid ballots or 4,94 percent and invalid ballots according to other criteria 36,662 or 4.13 percent.

In the House of Representatives of the State Parliament, the largest number of mandates won the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) 25.81 percent, immediately behind it are the parties gathered around the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) of BiH (HSS, HKDU BiH, HSP-HNS, HSP DR AS BiH and HDU BiH), with 14.53 percent.

They are followed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) 14.37 percent, the Democratic Front (DF) 9.49 percent, the Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) 6.72 percent, Our Party 4.63 percent, the Independent Bloc 4.34 percent, the Democratic Movement (PDA) 4.07 percent, and the Party of Democratic Activity (A-SDA) with 3.24 percent.

Other political parties did not reach the three-percent electoral threshold, such as  HDZ 1990, People and Justice, the Party for BiH, the BH Patriotic Party (BPS), the Independent Bosnian-Herzegovinian List, the Labor Party, the Pensioners' Party, the Bosnian Party (BOSS), the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), LDS, the Croat Party, Alliance for the New Politics, Democratic People's Alliance and the Left Wing.

As for the constituency of Republika Srpska, the highest number of votes went to SNSD 39.21 percent, followed by SDS – the List (SDS-NDP-NS-SRS) 25.06 percrnt, the Democratic Progress Party (PDP) 12, 96 percent, the Democratic People's Alliance (DNS) 10.41 percent, the Socialist Party 4.70 percent and SDA with 3.63 percent of the votes.
