Training for UN police officers and UN military observers at Camp Butmir

SARAJEVO, October 10 (FENA) - Training for UN police officers and military observers is taking place at the Butmir Camp Peace Support Operations Training Center of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Armed Forces (PSOTC) as a joint project between the BiH Ministry of Security and the Ministry Defense of BiH, and PSOTC.

The training involves 35 participants, 30 police and civil servants, members of the interior ministries and police structures from BiH, and one police officer each from Albania, Estonia, Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia (five in total).

This training is linked to a training course for military experts in United Nations missions (military observers) in order to apply the UN integrated concept in the training course which focuses on the necessity of mutual cooperation and coordination of police, military and civilian and other components in a real mission context.

The participants will also take part in a simulation exercise in a potential mission situation on the ground.

The closing ceremony and the presentation of certificates to the participants will be held on Friday, October 12.
