Kopač: Investments in energy sector in BiH will not come without legal certainty

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, October 21 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's adoption of the Energy Strategy is a good step, but this does not in itself bring new investments in the energy sector, said Director General of the Energy Community Janez Kopač in a conversation with the president of the Green Club, an informal group that brings together representatives from all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Saša Magazinović and a member of the club Jasmin Emric during their meeting in Vienna, stated the Social Democratic Party of BiH.

"Investments will not come without legal certainty, and in order to achieve that, you need the laws that regulate the transmission and market of electricity and natural gas in Bosnia and Herzegovina," emphasized Kopač.

Kopač also highlighted the contents of the Green Club's Green Action Plan, which, among other things, focuses on the development and implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy policies and engagement in legislation development.

Strengthening public dialogue in the field of energy, renewable energy, climate change, energy efficiency, and environmental protection are some of the priorities in the work of the Green Club, which will be put into the focus of the public in BiH.
