SARAJEVO, October 26 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić, on behalf of the Government of the Federation of BiH, and himself, sent letters of condolence to the families and the Ministry of the Interior of the Sarajevo Canton after the murder of two police officers this morning in Sarajevo in a criminal attack on law enforcement while performing their duty.
“I was deeply shaken by the news of the murder of the two police officers who were honorably carrying out their hard and responsible work, protecting other peoples’ property and legal order. They were brutally attacked and killed in the line of duty.
This is a huge loss, primarily for their families, but also for the whole community, so at this moment it is difficult to find words of comfort after this horrible act.
This is also an attack on the state and its institutions and the safety of citizens.
I assure you that we will do everything to find the perpetrators of this horrendous act and punish them appropriately.
We will make all the necessary efforts to make sure our police are even more prepared to deal with criminals who are showing their brutality by committing cold-blooded murders and the most serious crimes.
We will not spare our strength and resources, because the security of the state and citizens is beyond value, which is why we must fight for it to the very end,” said the FBiH Prime Minister Novalić.
