SARAJEVO, October 28 (FENA) - Extensive police operation towards locating and identifying persons linked to murder of two Sarajevo police officers, which extended to the area of Republika Srpska (RS), is underway, Commissioner of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton Mevludin Halilovic told FENA.
Halilović added that SC MoI is implementing activities in cooperation with the RS Ministry of Interior, State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and FBiH Police Administration (FUP).
According to media reports, members of RS MoI arrested several persons suspected to be linked to the crime.
Unknown perpetrators opened fire at a police patrol that caught them stealing a motor vehicle on Friday morning in Sarajevo settlement “Alipašino Polje – C”, near the "Bingo" shopping center.
Police officer Adis Šehović was killed at the scene and his colleague Davor Vujinović succumbed to his injuries hours later.
