BUDVA/SARAJEVO, November 15 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektić is taking part in a conference in Budva to discuss common approaches and cooperation in the fight against extremism.
Taking part in the panel on the security challenges of the countries of the Western Balkans, Mektić highlighted the measures BiH has undertaken in that segment, and stressed the importance of regional cooperation, exchange of information and experiences in the fight against all forms of extremism and radical groups that impede the security of the entire region.
The interior ministers of the region pointed out that, in order to have a successful fight against extremism, along with regional cooperation, the cooperation between different levels of government in an individual state is also of key importance.
During the Budva conference, a review was also done of the existing strategies and implementation of the action plans of the countries of the region for the fight against violent extremism, stated the BiH Ministry of Security.
