NATO Headquarters and BiH AF delegations visit Goražde and Podrinje Canton

GORAŽDE, November 21 (FENA) - A joint delegation of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the NATO headquarters in Sarajevo visited today the 3rd Infantry Battalion of the 4th Infantry Brigade at the Kosova barracks and spoke with the officials of the Podrinje Canton (BPC) and the City of Goražde.

Brigadier Morten Henriksen, Deputy Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, said that one of the goals of this visit to this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina is to get acquainted with the activities of the NATO Headquarters in BiH, as well as the cooperation of military and civilian structures.

"As Deputy Commander of the NATO HQ in Sarajevo, I wanted to inform soldiers, members of this unit about the activities of the NATO headquarters, and also to learn about the cooperation between local civil institutions and the BiH Armed Forces.

During the meeting with Goražde officials, they stressed excellent cooperation that BPC and its local communities have with military structures but also talked about the issues related to the Armed Forces of BiH.

It was my pleasure to get acquainted with local officials and to find out more about the cooperation that is being realized with the AF BiH, and how it works. We had an open discussion in which I could hear that good cooperation is ongoing," Henriksen said.

The delegation of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina this visit to Goražde, among other things, used to visit production facilities in the field of military industry.
