Ambassador Bo: Relations between BiH and China are getting better and better

SARAJEVO, November 27 (FENA) - Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina Chen Bo visited today "Avdo Smailović" Elementary School in the Sarajevo settlement of Buća Potok, where the China Day event was held.

As part of this event, students and parents had the opportunity to learn about various aspects of Chinese culture such as cutting art, calligraphy, traditional musical instruments and Chinese cuisine.

Bo stressed that the relations between BiH and China are getting better and better, and that BiH has a growing interest in China's activities.

"This is our first event of this kind, in an elementary school, and we hope that children in the future will be the heirs of cooperation and friendship," Bo said.

She also stressed that events such as China Day are an opportunity for BiH children to learn more about Chinese culture.

Bo expressed satisfaction that the elementary school pupils are learning the Chinese language, saying that this knowledge will open many doors to them.

Bo today received the award for supporting the work and development of the elementary school "Avdo Smailović", which was presented to her by the school principal Hasim Baždar.

With the help of the Chinese Embassy, this school has renovated its football pitch and the sports hall. The school also received a donation of new ping pong tables and auxiliary equipment.
