FOČA/USTIKOLINA, November 28 (FENA) - Day of Armed Forces of BiH, December 1st, was marked in Kosova barracks in Foča municipality, Federation of BiH, with series of activities.
Appropriate ceremony was held today on the occasion of 13th anniversary of BiH Armed Forces in 3rd Infantry Battalion of 4th Infantry Brigade, which was attended by officials from area of Bosnia-Podrinje Canton and local communities within.
Commander of the 3rd Infantry Battalion of 4th Infantry Brigade Major Mirnes Ćosić addressed and congratulated members of BiH AF, reminding of importance of this date.
"Thirteen years is a relatively short period compared to decades, centuries of armed forces in states we can say have very developed and capable armed forces. Those armed forces are our partners in joint military missions across the world. Armed Forces of BiH have been partners to great powers for several years when it comes to global security. Third Infantry Battalion, as part of BiH AF, has been giving its contribution in strengthening collective security through daily training, both independently and with members of EUFOR," said Ćosić.
He added that this year members of BiH AF are directing part of their training towards potential engagement in operations of assisting civilian structures of authorities in case of natural disasters.
