SARAJEVO, November 30 (FENA) - Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektić met in Sarajevo yesterday with Ambassador of Turkey Haldun Koc and talked to him about enhancement of cooperation in area of security.
It was emphasized this segment of cooperation is very important for both states due to joint security challenges, but also the fact that number of tourist visits between the two countries is constantly increasing. Ambassador Koc emphasized they recently appointed security adviser, which shows the importance Turkey attaches to this area.
Due to terrorist challenges and threats it is very important that police of BiH and Turkey strengthen their relations towards faster exchange of data and information. To this end, a visit of delegation of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) to Ankara was agreed, where they will discuss future operational cooperation with their colleagues from Turkey.
