SARAJEVO, November 30 (FENA) - Member of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović attended a solemn ceremony at "Rajlovac" barracks today and congratulated Day of BiH Armed Forces to all members of Armed Forces of BiH and all citizens of BiH.
He emphasized that BiH Armed Forces are a factor of peace and stability and a factor of assistance to the entire BiH and its every resident, reminding that reform of defense sector is one of the most successful reforms in BiH.
"It is a reform that shows that when there is a political will we can make great things happen," stated Džaferović.
He said it is the only possible path in the interest of the entire country and every person living in BiH.
"We will do everything in our power to finalize modernization and equipment plans of BiH AF and meet demands of our AF, regardless of different political views. Interest of BiH is membership in NATO, which is not only security and military alliance, but also political and economic alliance which can enhance economy of our country," said Džaferović, reminding that BiH issued all necessary decisions for membership in NATO.
He specified that defense reform was implemented to that end, and that Article 84 of the Law on Defense of BiH states that Presidency of BiH, BiH PA and Council of Ministers will take all steps so BiH could become member of NATO as soon as possible.
