Criminal charges against CEC members because of blatant election theft

SARAJEVO, December 6 (FENA) - The newly elected deputy of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Saša Magazinović, told reporters today that this party is preparing criminal charges against members of the Central Election Commission (CEC) for "blatant election theft".

Magazinović, as well as his colleagues from the club Enver Bijedić, Zukan Helez, Nada Mladina and Nermin Nikšić, refused to take over their certificates from the CEC BIH members at today’s constitutive session.

Magazinović explained that the irregularities in the work of the CEC are especially reflected in the ban on recount of the ballot papers, expressing belief that the composition of the state parliament as well as the BiH Presidency would be significantly different if the recount was allowed.

“We are preparing to file criminal charges against members of the CEC Secretariat depending on their behavior and decision in terms of assigning the mandates to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, because what they are announce they are about to do deserves criminal charges,” he pointed out, adding that in such a situation there was no need to take the certificates from them.

He also commented on the appointment of deputies to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH from Republika Srpska, since four of them are from the Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Nebojša Radmanović, Sredoje Nović, Dušanka Majkić and Nikola Spirić, and said that the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) voted for them in such ratio.

This has enabled the SNSD to completely dominate over the Serb caucus in the House of Peoples of BiH PA to have four out of five deputies, because the fifth deputy is Mladen Bosić from the Serb Democratic Party (SDS),” explained Magazinović.

He considers this to be indicative because it happens at a moment when Milorad Dodik, the SNSD leader and the BiH Presidency Chairman, has left an exceptionally important meeting because of the flag of Republika Srpska.

Deputies of the Social Democratic Party of BiH and the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) - Branislav Borenović and Mira Pekić, and SDS deputy Dragan Mektić, refused to accept the certificates on the assignment of the mandates from the CEC BiH.
