Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Armed Forces Day marked at a reception held in Ankara

SARAJEVO, December 13 (FENA) - The Day of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina was marked at a reception organized by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ankara on Wednesday.

The reception hosts were Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Turkey Bakir Sadović and the Military Attaché of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Turkey Brigadier Džemal Mašinović, stated the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Numerous delegation of the Government of the Republic of Turkey, the National Defense Ministry and the Turkish Armed Forces were led by National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey, General Yasar Guler.

Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Turkey Bakir Sadović pointed to the friendly ties and extremely good relations and support that Turkey has continuously provided to BiH.

Brigadir Mašinović pointed out that the BiH Armed Forces with their participation in international missions have become a recognizable partner on the international plane, and a reliable support to BiH society in responding to all incidents and catastrophes caused by human or natural factors.

Some 450 officials attended the reception in Ankara. In addition, there were representatives of the diplomatic corps, military diplomatic representatives accredited in Ankara, representatives of the General Consulate of BiH in Istanbul, Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Turkey, distinguished business people that originate from BiH, university professors and Bosnian-Herzegovinian students in Ankara, cadets of the BiH Armed Forces from the Military Academy of the Land Forces in Ankara, representatives of the media and others who, with their presence, honored this solemn event of the celebration of the 13th anniversary of establishment of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
