SARAJEVO, December 17 (FENA) - Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Haldun Koç, his wife and daughter, today visited the Home for children without parental care Bjelave and donated gifts for the children at the home, thus giving their contribution to making this holiday season a happier time for them.
Belma Ahmagić, Director of the Children's Home Bjelave welcomed the Ambassador and his family and informed them that children stay this home even until they turn 23 years of age or sometimes more.
“We are a specific institution. We work 24 hours a day and our goal is to provide the children with basic living and working conditions, to help them finish school, have a better future and become good people,” she said.
Ambassador Koç said that it was an honor to visit children who are without their parents, but who, thanks to good and precious people of the Home, are given a chance to become successful in their life.
“I know that many children have gone through this Home. Thanks to you, your support, as well as the support of many good human beings, these children will become successful people,” said Ambassador Koç.
Director Ahmagić invited the ambassador and his family to attend the opening of renovated premises (the kitchen and the salon) on January 16 which were in very bad condition, but thanks to the help of Ziraat Bank they will be soon fully renovated.
