Šarović and Shugang sign Memorandum of Cooperation in area of tourism

SARAJEVO/BEIJING, December 18 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović and Minister of Tourism of China Luo Shugang signed in Beijing today a Memorandum of Understanding in area of tourism and facilitating group visits between BiH and the People's Republic of China.

It will be much easier to realize group trips of Chinese tourists to BiH with this document. Around 100 000 Chinese tourists are expected in BiH next year, which is twice as much compared to the period, before visa liberalization between the two countries, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH stated. 

Ongoing increase in number of Chinese tourists will have a direct economic impact on social product, employment and balance of payments of the country and will have a positive impact on investments, development of accommodation capacity and different industrial and business activities.

Minister Shugang emphasized there is a great interest of Chinese citizens and businessmen to visit the region, especially BiH.

Minister Šarović also attended a conference of state coordinators of the 16+1 mechanism, which was chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Vang Chao.

Preparations were made within the conference for the upcoming 16+1 Summit, which will be held in Dubrovnik next year.
