SARAJEVO, December 20 (FENA) - Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina Haldun Koç and his wife Pinar, hosted last evening a traditional reception, a dinner and a get together with representatives of the media in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ambassador Koç in his welcoming address thanked the media representatives for their attendance, and noted that because of hospitality, openness and close relations between the two countries based on historical, cultural and friendly ties, Bosnia and Herzegovina truly feels like home to him.
Koç said that the duty of being an ambassador to BiH is a great honor, and at the same time a great responsibility.
He emphasized the importance of the progress and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the entire region, the European Union and the whole world.
Ambassador Koç stressed that Turkey has always supported Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of membership in NATO and the European Union and will continue to support it on that path.
He wished that the New Year 2019 brings peace, tranquility, health and prosperity to both, Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to the rest of the world.
Koç pointed out that journalism is a demanding profession, and that it comes with a great responsibility to communicate objectively and closely on all of the events, and remembered 80 journalists who lost their lives while on their assignments in 2018.
Ambassador Koç stressed that objective journalism carries with it great responsibility, such as the provision of accurate and real news from the proper sources and proper informing of the society in general, stated the Turkish Embassy in BiH.
