SARAJEVO, December 20 (FENA) - Chair of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto and her deputy Nebojša Radmanović today, at a meeting with the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Lars Gunnar Wigemark, expressed the belief that, in this four-year mandate, significant steps could be taken on the European path of BiH, in cooperation with the EU institutions.
To that end, they pointed to the fact that there is a general and institutional consensus in BiH regarding the process of European integration.
Wigemark believes that the good cooperation between the EU Delegation to BiH and the BiH PA would continue, and said he expected the process of forming of power at all levels to be completed smoothly, and that representatives of the authorities will seek and find compromise solutions in relation to all contentious issues.
According to Wigemark, next year will be important for the process of European integration of BiH, and urged to speed up the finalizing of the responses to the additional questions from the European Commission Questionnaire and to ensure the functioning of the Parliamentary Committee on Stabilization and Association Process between the European Parliament and the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
Members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives pointed to the need to respect the Constitution of BiH, both regarding the representation of BiH in the EU institutions and the manner of decision-making within the EU-BiH Parliamentary Committee, as well as with the adoption of amendments to the BiH Election Law, stated the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
