SARAJEVO, January 4 (FENA) - Member of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić reacted today to statement by Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić, who commenting on abolition of border between Albania and Kosovo, said that “borders are obviously on the table and now they can exist for some (Kosovo and Albania), but not for Republika Srpska”.
Komšić emphasized that borders of BiH cannot be questioned in any form, no matter what is happening on border between Albania and Kosovo.
He added that individuals in the executive authority of Serbia do not need to discuss how to enhance their negotiating position by destabilizing BiH.
“Why do they think that policy of the nineties will give different result today? Why are they pushing their own state in needless verbal conflicts with BiH by giving these types of statements? Instead of turning to cooperation, Euro-Atlantic integration and stabilization of the region, they are constantly trying to draw ridiculous parallels between parts of BiH and Kosovo.
Sovereignty, integrity, especially borders of BiH are unquestionable. Therefore I call Serbian officials to stop drawing these impossible parallels. Any further ‘what ifs’ will not contribute to better relations between the two states.
We are not interfering in your relations with Kosovo and Albania, therefore we want to see you stop playing around with BiH for the sake of future relations,” said Komšić, Presidency of BiH stated.
