Komšić: Pompeo's letter should be understood as an impetus for BiH

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, January 9 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić said today that the letter from the US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo should be understood as an impetus and a helping hand from the United States and the NATO to deepen reform activities in all spheres.

Pompeo urged the BiH Presidency to adopt the Annual National Plan, and Komšić assessed that such reform activities need to be done in order to finally activate the Membership Action Plan (MAP) which should ensure lasting peace, stability and economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina and its institutions have already committed themselves and committed to continue on the path towards EU and NATO integrations through relevant laws and strategies.

We will insist for the country to continue on this path,” said the BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić.
