SARAJEVO, January 23 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik met today with Italian Ambassador to BiH Nicola Minasi.
Chairman of the BiH Presidency and Italian Ambassador agreed that the bilateral relations between BiH and Italy are good and that they should be further expanded.
Chairman Dodik informed Ambassador Minasi that there is a consensus in BiH on the European integration of the country, with respect to the coordination mechanism, for which it is necessary to constitute a new Council of Ministers as soon as possible, with the implementation of election results.
He also said that, “unlike the EU path, there is no consensus on membership of BiH in NATO, since RS Assembly has passed a resolution on military neutrality that must be respected.”
Chairman Dodik also reiterated his position that his role is to ensure the respect of the Constitution and that he advocates for “departure of the high representative from BiH which is striving towards EU membership, but it cannot function in full capacity, due to some type of protectorate that now exists in BiH, with the High Representative still being in Sarajevo,” said Dodik.
