SIPA arrests nine persons suspected of forgery of diplomas and documents

EAST SARAJEVO, February 7 (FENA) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), in cooperation with police officers of the RS MoI, the Una-Sana Canton MoI and the Brčko District Police, have been conducting activities since early morning under the operation codenamed "Seal" (Pečat).

Nine persons were arrested suspected that they have committed a criminal offense of association for the purpose of commission of criminal offenses related to forgery of documents and complicity, SIPA said.

During the implementation of the operation, searches were conducted at eight locations in the areas of Velika Kladuša, Cazin, Bužim, Novi Grad, Kozarska Dubica, Prijedor, Banja Luka and the Brčko District.

So far, several mobile phones with SIM cards, a diploma of completed education, evidence of completed secondary education classes and other documentation suspected of being counterfeited have been temporarily seized and some other items that may serve as evidence in criminal proceedings.

After the criminal investigation carried out at the SIPA premises, the arrested persons will be transferred to the Prosecutor's Office of the Una-Sana Canton within the prescribed time period.
