SDA Main Board: Attacks on BiH demand the unity of all patriotic forces

FENA Aida Kovač

SARAJEVO, February 10 (FENA) - The Main Board of the Party of Democratic Action yesterday discussed the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the implementation of the results of the General Elections and the formation of coalitions and the governments at all levels. The following conclusions were adopted at the session:

The Main Board assessed that the Party achieved all planned election goals. As a winning party, the SDA once again sent out a call to all parties that have received significant citizens' confidence to approach the urgent formation of power at all levels. Stability and the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina demand the unity of all Bosnian political patriotic forces. This is a question of the responsibility of the Pro-Bosnian parties towards their voters and citizens of BiH.

The Main Board strongly rejects the thesis of the parties gathered around the BH Bloc in their attempt to equalize the state-building Party of Democratic Action with anti-state nationalist parties. This constitutes a shameful and intolerable attempt to falsify history, through equalizing the patriotic forces that defended the country with those who committed aggression and genocide.

We are firmly committed to forming a stable parliamentary majority at all levels of government in BiH, which will provide strong support to governments and the implementation of reforms on the path towards NATO and European integration of BiH. Future partners in the government must meet the criterion of respecting constitutional jurisdiction and the rule of law, which implies the implementation of the existing laws and decisions regarding NATO integration of BiH.

The Main Board of the SDA condemns the permanent institutional anti-Dayton discriminatory policy and practice in the entity of RS against the Bosniaks and Croat returnees in this entity, which is manifested in particular by restrictive measures against the returnees, including physical attacks, intimidation, destruction of property and impunity for these cases; by preventing employment in public institutions of the entity, the denial of genocide and war crimes, and the rewarding of convicted war criminals, which is the expression of mockery of all the civilized values, norms and institutions of the international legal and civil order, denial of the right to education and forbiding the use and studying of Bosnian language, regardless this policy being against the Decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH and all international instruments on human rights; maintaining asymmetric constitutional solutions and an ineffective mechanism of protection of vital national interest as a result of the refusal to fully implement the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH on the constitutionality of the peoples (U-5/98); openly opposing the implementation of decisions of the Constitutional Court by the institutions of the RS entity that the entity judiciary does not prosecute in accordance with the laws, and by conscious radicalization of political climate through the public appearances of the highest entity officials.

The SDA Main Board considers that the source of such discriminatory and anti-Dayton activities lies in the efforts of Serb politics in BiH to achieve the aims of the war proclaimed goals by the political means in the Declaration on the Proclamation of the Republic of the Serb People in BiH (9 January 1992) and the Decisions on Strategic goals of the Serb people in BiH "(12 May 1992), including the creation of a state of the Serb people west of the Drina River.

We condemn the inertia and passivity of the international community, primarily the Office of the High Representative in BiH, in terms of the obligation to prevent the discriminatory and anti-democratic actions of the authorities of the RS entity and urge them to act in accordance with the mandate given to them by the Dayton Peace Agreement.

By appointing Gordana Tadic as Chief BiH Prosecutor, the process of anti-constitutional removal of Bosniaks from the executive positions in the judiciary has been completed. At the time Gordana Tadić performed the duty of the Chief Prosecutor, this institution has stopped the process of sanctioning those responsible for unconstitutional referendum on the occasion of marking January 9 as the "Day of RS" and began the process of mass arrests and prosecution of the commanders of the RBiH Army in order to create a fictitious ethnic balance in the processing of war crimes.

These were obviously the main references for appointing Gordana Tadić to this function. It is more than clear that the majority of the members of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council are mere implementers of the policies that want to remove the Bosniak representatives from the top of the judiciary for the above said reasons and prevent the BiH Prosecutor's Office from decisively tackling corruption.

The SDA will seek a thorough reform of BiH's judicial system, as well as the transformation of the HJPC and its competencies, in order to restore citizens' confidence in the entire judicial system.

We reject the Declaration of the Croat People's Assembly, which denies the truth about aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina by denying the final verdicts of the UN International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, grossly offending the victims of the joint criminal enterprise and trying to revise history.

We call on the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament to urgently adopt the Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. If the House of Peoples is not constituted in a new convocation within seven days, we invite the House leadership to convene a session of the House of Peoples in the current convocation in order to adopt the Budget in the interest of all its citizens.

The Main Board condemns the formation of the RS government's review commissions as another in a series of attempts to politically influence the truth about the genocide and war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina established by final verdicts of the internationally recognized courts.

The SDA will request from the embassies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose citizens are members of the so-called commissions established by the authorities in RS to clearly condemn and refrain themselves from the activities and attitudes of their citizens in the so-called commissions.

SDA urge the Peace Implementation Council to declare themselves on anti-anticivilization, unlawful and anti-Dayton intent of the Government of the RS entity, as the creators of these commissions, who have a morbid assignment from their founders, not only to judge the international courts, but also the victims themselves in the already tried cases of the most serious war crimes committed in Europe since the Second World War.

We expect the High Representative to make an urgent decision on the annulment of the RS government's decision on the formation of these shameful commissions.

We invite officials from the Bosnian and Herzegovinian entities of RS and neighboring Serbia to face the truth about genocide and crimes committed throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, instead of attempting to revise history.

The 7th Congress of the Party of Democratic Action will be held in September 2019. At its next session in March, the Main Board will make decisions on conducting the elections in the party.
