A vehicle with illegal migrants goes off road near Bosanska Gradiška

FENA Press release

BOSANSKA GRADIŠKA, February 21 (FENA) - Last night, the police have located 13 migrants who illegally entered Bosnia and Herzegovina after the vehicle in which they travelled skidded and landed off road in the village of Vrbaška near Bosanska Gradiska.

“The driver previously ignored the order of the police to stop the vehicle, which then ended on the side of the road,” said the Bosanska Gradiška Police Administration.

The migrants in question are citizens of Iraq, Iran, Syria and Pakistan.

The police also found objects that will serve as evidence in criminal proceedings, as well as a contract for the use of a vehicle issued to a twenty-eight year old citizen of Moldova.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has been informed about the incident, and it is working on documenting the criminal offense of smuggling of human beings.

The migrants have been handed over to the BiH Border Police Unit.
