SARAJEVO, February 22 (FENA) – Newly appointed Ambassador of PR China to BiH Ji Ping visited Sarajevo Canton today, where he met with Prime Minister Edin Forto and talked to him about possibilities of deepening cooperation between the Canton and Chinese provinces, and potential agreements and implementation of specific projects in areas of transport infrastructure, tourism, education and culture.
Prime Minister Forto welcomed the Ambassador and emphasized he hopes for a successful future cooperation. He said the focus of his government is definitely regulation of transport infrastructure and public transport and due to the issue of air pollution they should also consider procurement of ecologically acceptable vehicles.
According to the Ambassador, China is also interested in launching production of Chinese companies here. He added that Sarajevo is one of the favorite tourist destinations for Chinese tourists and they expect the number to double.
When it comes to education, they discussed cooperation of universities, especially in area of technical sciences and student exchange, SC Press service stated.
