SARAJEVO, March 3 (FENA) - The Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina demands that the decision on the appointment of Denis Bećirović as deputy chairman of the Bosniak caucus in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH be put out of force as soon as possible.
Otherwise, Bećirović will resign himself to the position he was elected in absence, without his knowledge, approval or consent, the SDP BiH announced.
The SDP further points out that the appointment of Denis Bećirović, who is the vice-president of that party, was carried out at the constituent session of the House of Peoples whom Bećirović could not attend because of a death in his family and, therefore, could not even assume his mandate. Therefore, the appointment, in this case, is inappropriate and unlawful, SDP claims.
"Denis Bećirović entered the House of Peoples with more votes than the three SDA delegates got together in total and he can not serve as their deputy," it is said in the statement of SDP BiH.
