Foreign Minister Crnadak meets with French Ambassador Rousson

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, March 15 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak spoke yesterday with Ambassador of the Republic of France to BiH Guillaume Rousson on the improvement of relations between BiH and France, the current situation in BiH, and European integration.

Minister Crnadak expressed gratitude to Rousson for the support that France has been providing to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the path to EU integration.

Both of them emphasized that it was necessary to establish a stable and efficient government at all levels, in order to proceed as soon as possible with the implementation of reforms and fulfillment of the conditions for EU membership.

They also talked about the possibilities of improving cooperation between BiH and France, especially in the economy sector.

The interlocutors estimated that the arrival of the French Development Agency (AFD) in BiH is a significant step for the improvement of relations between the two countries.

Rousson stressed that the French Development Agency (AFD) has funded development projects worldwide, with more than 10 billion euros.

He pointed out that the activities of the French Development Agency will be a good signal for the arrival of French investors in BiH.

At the Western Balkans summit in July 2018 in London, France decided to extend the AFD's mandate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and other countries of the region.
