ZENICA, March 15 (FENA) - The company "ArcelorMittal" Zenica today signed a contract for a EUR 46 million loan with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which will be spent on the implementation of the public-private partnership project for the construction of the Zenica City heating plant.

Five million euros will be spent out of this amount for green energy projects in this city, and the heating plant that will use natural gas will produce steam for the production process in that company and warm the households and businesses in the City of Zenica.

"We expect that we will have new boilers in operation at the beginning of 2020", announced General Manager of ArcelorMittal Biju Nair.

The total value of the projects is 53 million euros, and ArcelorMittal will have 50 percent ownership in the future company.

The city of Zenica will hold 20 percent and the remaining share will be held by two partners from Finland, who will deliver the boilers for this joint venture company.
