SARAJEVO, March 21 (FENA) - The activation of the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) does not mean automatic NATO membership, but it represents strengthening of the partnership between Bosnia and Herzegovina and NATO, which would have a positive impact on further development of defense and economy sectors, said today Minister of Defense of BiH Marina Pendeš during her meeting with Ambassador of the United States of America to BiH Eric Nelson.

Pendeš informed Ambassador Nelson about the current situation regarding the adoption of the first Annual National Program (ANP).

The ambassador stressed the US Embassy's strong support to the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH in their further steps in the field of EU-NATO integration, stated the Public Relations Office of the BiH Ministry of Defense.
