BIHAĆ, March 22 (FENA) - The School Biotechnology, the University of Bihać, cantonal water supply companies and the Una-Sana Canton Pedagogical Institute today organized the marking of March 22 - World Water Day.
“We have basically implemented into practice the idea of our of faculty professors and gave this date a wider significance in our city that lies on the Una River. This year's slogan is "No one gets left behind", and we really did not leave anyone behind," said the Dean of the School of Biotechnology in Bihać, Husein Vilić.
The organizers expressed great pleasure to note that the World Water Day was marked in this way in the canton, where special attention is placed on ecology and tourism.
“We live our slogan 24 hours, 365 days a year. We try not to leave out anybody in provision of our services and therefore we are pleased to participate in such activities. Let's not forget that our country, and especially the Una-Sana Canton, is among the leading regions in Europe in terms of water quality. It is more than clear when we explain that the water we drink goes only through basic purification treatments, without the need for any additional - special treatments like it is the case in some a lot more developed countries,” said Damir Felić, director of the public utility company "Vodovod" in Bihać.
