SARAJEVO, April 18 (FENA) - The new premises of the French Institute opened this evening at Tina Ujevića street in Sarajevo, and on this occasion, representatives of different associations and citizen expressed satisfaction that the Institute in the capital of BiH has provided us with even better channels of communication in the French language.
On this occasion, Director of Culture and Development at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, Laurence Auer, pointed out that in order to spread the French language and culture, various programs have been designed that will be realized this year in the Institute.
“I am pleased that the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton, Zineta Bogunić provided the necessary this support,” Auer added.
The guests were welcomed by Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo Milan Trivić and Assistant Minister for Multilateral Relations Almir Šahović, adding that activities in the new premises will further strengthen ties between France and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the newly opened premises of the Institute, photographer Milomir Kovačević Strašni has hosted an exhibition that will be officially opened tomorrow.
The annual membership fee of 15 KM will enable citizens an access to materials and cultural content in a library that contains more than 125,000 documents, including magazines, comics, books, videos, educational games, and academic articles.
