Čović and Jandroković meet in Zagreb

SARAJEVO, April 19 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (BiH PA) Dragan Čović met in Zagreb yesterday with President of Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandroković.

Čović and Jandroković agreed that as neighbor countries, BiH and Croatia have a wide specter of common topics and bilateral political and economic interests. Jandroković emphasized that stability and prosperity of BiH is Croatia's priority, and that he supports BiH as a sovereign state where all three constituent peoples have equal status.  

Čović informed President of the Croatian Parliament about current political situation in BiH, especially regarding Croat people and they agreed that Croats as a constituent people should be represented by their legitimately elected representatives.

Jandroković confirmed that Croatia as the first EU and NATO neighbor of BiH wishes to maintain intensive bilateral relations, especially on parliamentary level. Croatia is ready to continue providing technical and professional assistance through bilateral cooperation or cooperation with international partners through twinning projects. News project "Strengthening Role of Parliaments in BiH in Context of the European Integration" confirms that. Project will be implemented in BiH by Croatian Parliament, together with parliaments of Hungary and Austria, PR Office of BiH Parliamentary Assembly stated.
