SARAJEVO, April 30 (FENA) – Commenting on meeting of officials of the EU and the Western Balkans in Berlin yesterday, Member of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović stated today that it is a good thing the meeting was held and he thanked German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron for organizing the meeting.
"I believe it is an important meeting which has the aim to encourage our European path," said Džaferović.
According to him, it is definitely a meeting which should encourage a dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina to normalize their relations.
Asked about objections that came from the entity of RS on Chairman of BiH Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić representing BiH in Berlin, Džaferović said that Zvizdić is the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and he "has the right to go to the meeting and represent BiH".
He emphasized BiH can be represented only in accordance with the Constitution, law and Dayton Agreement.
"Zvizdić has not done anything beyond that," explained Džaferović.
Asked when the new assembly of BiH CoM will be formed, he said he wishes it to happen as soon as possible.
"I cannot say exactly when at the moment because there is still the issue of rule of law, which still has not been solved. It is the issue of activation of ANP, that is, MAP and submission of the first annual national plan. If that happens today, the Presidency of BiH can have a session by the end of today and a nominated candidate for prime minister can be approved," said Džaferović.
