SARAJEVO, May 7 (FENA) - Members of the BiH Presidency, Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović, received today Christian Danielsson, Director General of the European Commission for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations.
Members of the BiH Presidency reminded the Director General Danielsson of the commitment of the BiH Presidency towards full membership in the EU, which was confirmed by the adoption of the Declaration on EU Integration at the first regular session of the BiH Presidency.
Director General Danielsson said that the BiH Presidency has an essential role on BiH's path to the EU, stressing that a joint visit of members of the BiH Presidency to Brussels sent a clear and positive message in January this year, and the very quickly adopted measures, such as the decision on regional roaming, undertaken after meeting with members of the European Commission (EC) and the European Council, speak about the importance of the BiH Presidency as an institution.
Danielsson highlighted the support for BiH on its European path, stressing the EC's intention to publish the Opinion on BiH by the end of May this year after BiH provided additional responses on the EC Questionnaire.
Members of the BiH Presidency got the assurance from Director General that this Opinion will exclusively contain the standards applicable in full EU member countries.
At the end of the meeting, Danielsson informed members of the BiH Presidency that he will invite investors to increase their investments in the BiH economy at one of the panels of the Third Summit of the European Bank for Development Regional that is taking place in Sarajevo, stated the BiH Presidency.
