BANJA LUKA, May 12 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik is against the establishment of a military academy at the state level.
"There will be no political decisions towards this formation. We primarily want our officers and other senior personnel in the Armed Forces to be educated in the military education system of Serbia, as we are not against other nations to choose other destinations for education of their military personnel," said Dodik, adding that he does not accept any state-level military academy for training of the staff in BiH.
That would be, as he claims, another mistake, after the one that came with the forming of the Armed Forces of BiH.
A Serb in the BiH Ministry of Defense, says Dodik, "must behave like any other Serb minister if he is in the position of a deputy."
"It is most likely that this ministry will be led by Bosniaks. If we do not have a strong enough, authoritative, capable deputy who is supported by me, we will not do a good job," Dodik said in a statement to journalists in Banja Luka's Kozara barracks where a ceremony was held to mark the anniversary of the Third Infantry Regiment of the BiH Armed Forces (RS regiment) and the "Day of RS Army".
Dodik announced that he will meet with Austrian Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strahe tomorrow.
He added that he will give support to the candidates of Strahe's party in the elections for the European Parliament, and that "they also have a Serb on their list."
